This tool is meant to aid in memorizing the notes of the fretboard. The idea is to start with an interval that you can manage, and gradually decrease the interval over time. It helps, at least at first, to say the note name out loud when playing it. Simply adjust the interval and toggle sound and/or fretboard visibility. Click "Start" to begin generating random notes on random strings. The page will display a string number and a note to play on that string. String 6 (thickest) is at the bottom, string 1 (thinnest) is at the top
